Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring Developer Level 3 for one of its government clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm scope, finalize inventory approach, and establish automated test framework plan.
- Review a comprehensive inventory of microservices and the documented functions (e.g., ingestion, search, reporting, email delivery, etc.).
- Implement a shared, standardized testing framework integrated with CI/CD pipelines to trigger automated tests on every code change.
- Develop and deliver unit, integration, and smoke test harnesses for all 22 microservices, including setup and usage documentation.
- Create regression tests for all bug fixes during the term and integrate them into the shared framework.
- Achieve 70-80% automated test coverage on critical paths across all microservices, verified using industry-standard coverage tools.
- Produce a final test coverage report summarizing coverage achieved, framework performance, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Conduct at least two (2) knowledge transfer sessions for the province and deliver editable training materials (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint).
Necessary Skills
- Program, test, and support the development and maintenance of systems by: –
- a) translating software specifications into code.
- b) documenting technical work.
- c) developing technical reference materials.
- d) support provision of post implementation maintenance services through liaising with Business Analysts and clients.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience providing automated testing services for complex, layered systems or microservices architectures.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining automated test suites, including unit, integration, regression, and smoke tests.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience using industry-standard test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
Salary range is expected to be between:
- Contract: $50 – $70/hr
