Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Service Owner for one of its clients. The ideal candidate is process-oriented and experienced in requirements gathering, data analysis, analytics and reporting, gap analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of new digital services, from discovery and design through testing and implementation.
- Guide product teams to deliver user-centric digital solutions that meet business and operational needs.
- Redesign operational processes and support the introduction of new digital services.
- Identify barriers to change and recommend mitigation strategies, including policy and legislative considerations.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), quality assurance, and acceptance criteria for deliverables.
- Prioritize requirements and resolve scope trade-offs based on business value, risk, and feasibility.
- Support evaluation and reporting of modernization outcomes, including operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Support service modernization through staff and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Focus on improving client and employee experience and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support the replacement of enterprise legacy systems through strategic product roadmaps and sustainability planning.
- Collaborate with government technology partners to deliver incremental value.
- Assess technology and sourcing options to support multi-year modernization initiatives.
- Champion agile and digital delivery methodologies.
- Monitor product progress, timelines, costs, and reporting.
- Lead product demonstrations and stakeholder communications.
- Define data and reporting requirements aligned with business objectives.
- Identify KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories for data and analytics teams.
Necessary Skills
- 5 years of experience in coordinating with business, IT partners, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze all of a client’s business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Experience in project management and leading product teams to achieve results using a collaborative, integrated approach.
- 5 years of experience dealing with clients and explaining complex data principles in a thoughtful manner.
- Experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
- 5 years of experience in a leadership and/or facilitation role.
- 5 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of complex IT solutions.
- 5 years of experience working within an agile development environment.
- Demonstrated experience conducting gap analysis between legacy systems and modern solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Product Owner certification: CSPO or PSPO
- Bachelor degree in IT or related field of study.
- 5 years of experience aligning data architecture with organizational data strategies and digital service delivery goals.
Salary range is expected to be between
- Contract: 70 – 90 CAD/hr
