Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Senior Workday Data Conversion Consultant for one of its Non – Profit clients to support its People and Finance Modernization program.The Consultant will assess the current state of Workday data conversion, recommend
improvements to the conversion strategy and lead execution through testing, final conversion and cutover.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess the current state of the Workday data conversion workstream, including scope, approach, status, risks, dependencies and readiness.
- Review conversion strategy, plans, data workbooks, mappings, transformation rules, load results, reconciliation outputs and outstanding defects.
- Identify gaps in conversion design, execution, governance, data quality and validation.
- Recommend a practical path forward, including priorities, sequencing, resource requirements and remediation actions.
- Develop and maintain an integrated data conversion plan through production cutover.
- Define conversion cycles, entry and exit criteria, dependencies, ownership and approval requirements.
- Coordinate data extraction, cleansing, transformation, consolidation and preparation activities.
- Lead completion and quality assurance of Workday data-loading templates and conversion workbooks.
- Work with functional teams to confirm source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and business validation requirements.
- Coordinate conversion loads using Workday data-loading tools and approved migration methods.
- Coordinate validation of converted data with HR, Payroll, Finance, Digital and business stakeholders.
- Define the final extraction, transformation, load and validation sequence for cutover.
Necessary Skills
- Five or more years of Workday data conversion experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading data conversion through a full Workday implementation lifecycle.
- Strong experience assessing and improving an in-progress data conversion workstream.
- Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll and/or Financial Management data conversion.
- Strong knowledge of Workday data-loading methods, including EIBs, Workday-delivered templates and related conversion tools.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of Workday reference IDs, organizations, Worktags and foundational data dependencies.
- Experience planning and executing mock conversions, production conversion and cutover.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot load failures and complex data-quality issues.
- Experience defining conversion controls, validation criteria and business sign-off processes.
- Strong project planning, issue management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Nice to have
- Workday Integration certification.
- Workday Studio certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
- Experience with high-volume financial integrations.
Contract: 6 months, with possibility of extension.
