Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Bilingual Network Security Engineer to join our client’s IT infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for network device deployments and configurations as part of the project implementation team.
- Act as a subject matter expert for networking, assisting colleagues across the IT teams with your skills, knowledge, and experience regarding networks and networking.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network and associated equipment.
- Perform changes in Cisco Meraki firewalls, Ubiquiti switches, access points, IoT devices, and company-specific equipment.
- Work with Azure DevOps tasks and SharePoint site pages to manage project tasks and maintain documentation.
- Create documentation for new systems and services, including both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure the company’s networks are up and running during post-support.
- Ensure network infrastructure best practices are maintained to ensure system security and availability.
- Collaborate with Server & Cloud engineers to assist with network infrastructure implementation and documentation of procedures.
- Provide additional escalation support for remediation projects.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 for project communications and file management.
Necessary Skills
- Must be fluent in English and French.
- 5-10+ years of experience in network engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of network topologies and protocols (i.e., IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VPN, virtualization, DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and VLAN management).
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, MS Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Intune.
- Layer-2 and Layer-3 experience with networking technologies (i.e., VLAN, STP, Wi-Fi, 802.1x).
- Knowledge and administration of the Microsoft Windows Server platform, VMware, iDRAC, and Hyper-V.
- Systems Administration experience is highly desirable, especially in network virtualization (ESXi & Hyper-V / vSphere & VMM).
- Familiarity with remote management tools and techniques (SSH, RDP, VNC, RMM, BMC, etc.)
- CCNA or CCNP is a must.
- Relevant certifications such as Meraki, MCSE/MCITP, Windows Server, and Azure are desired.
