Conduct and deliver the following:

• Organize, and lead engagement sessions with stakeholders (including client and subject matter experts) to elicit business/IT needs, capture, review and sign off on the requirements.
• Requirements elicitation through facilitated interviews, JAD sessions, use case diagrams, or other techniques.
• Document business processes by working with business teams (leveraging existing requirement documentation and/or creating new documentation as necessary).
• Develop detailed business analysis documentation including but not limited to System Vision document, business rules, glossary, scenarios, process flows, activity diagrams, data models, non-functional requirements, business use cases and system use case identification to document the to-be business model.
• Lead and/or execute portions of the subsequent detailed analysis work as informed by the initial analysis and planning activities.
• Provide support, guidance and advice to the project team members in the development of business, information, solution and/or technology architecture deliverable.
• Meet with and interact with variety of internal and external stakeholders to obtain a greater understanding of the business needs.
• Conduct Gap Analysis by analyzing existing business processes to evaluate current capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create, leverage and/or update business modelling deliverables including but not limited to:
i. Gap Analysis Report(s).
ii. Business Process Models / Activity Diagrams (i.e., Workflows and related illustrations).
iii. Conceptual Data Model.
iv. Logical Data Model.
v. Business Object Catalogue.
vi. Business Events documents.
vii. Business Use Case Model (with descriptions).
viii. Business Use Case Specifications documents.
ix. Business Rules Document.
x. Business Glossary.
xi. Business Scenarios Document.
xii. Non-functional Business Requirements.
xiii. System Use Case Model (with descriptions).

General tasks:

• Provide the project team clarity on requirements documented as required.
• Participate and facilitate working group sessions as required.
• Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Serve as a subject matter expert in support of the development of process and instructional content that will become inputs to training presentations and training materials
• Identify and recommend appropriate process owners to ensure ongoing integrity of data, partner with other reporting contacts to ensure consistent methodologies and adherence to standardization.
• Articulate ideas and thoughts in a professional way through effective verbal and written communication.

Required Skills:

• 10 years of experience functioning as a Business Analyst in Siebel or comparable ERP environment.
• Minimum of 3+ years of Business Analysis experience within a Siebel environment.
• Knowledge of current information management systems, including database, spreadsheet, word processing, and graphics software.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting requirements sessions by interviewing client stakeholders, business and system partners, by analyzing existing systems, practices and procedures and in preparing recommendations for approval by the client and IT senior management.
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and translating high level conceptual user- requirements into specifications of business requirements to guide application development activities, deliverables, and the selection of tools. This includes developing business strategies for the application of new technologies, leading and/or participating in business process re-engineering and developing business cases.
• Demonstrated experience in information modeling using RUP and Enterprise Architecture to model business and system requirements.
• Demonstrated experience as a project team member, in major multi-disciplinary cross functional project teams, dealing with diverse business environments, especially municipal/provincial environments, and having a good understanding of the business drivers in these environments.
• Demonstrated excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to prepare and present a broad range of complex materials to diverse business and technical groups.
• Knowledge and experience with Zachman Frameworks.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within extremely tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of geographical based information systems (GIS) will be an asset.
