Job Description
Live Assets is looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Operator/ Solid Surface Fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, planning and execution of manufacturing (machining and fabricating solid surface materials) for our residential and commercial clients. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in programming and operating CNC machines and skills in cabinet type joinery and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and cut solid surface materials to size using specialized tools and CNC machines
- Fabricate solid surface products/millwork including countertops, cabinet parts and feature walls
- Operate and program CNC machines to produce high-quality products
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and meets all safety and quality guidelines
- Operation and maintenance of shop and equipment
Necessary Skills
- 3 years of experience in operating CNC machine, solid surface and/or cabinetry fabrication
- AutoCAD and CNC operating software; SolidWorks or equivalent an asset
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and materials
- Minimum high school diploma, secondary school diploma or pursuit thereof preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of NC Codes & programs used in production of piece parts
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and planning skills
