Job Description
Live Assets, a leading Transit Staffing Solutions provider, is hiring a full-time Communications Systems Tester for a world-leading design, engineering and project management company to support rail transit projects in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
In this project you will be leading on-site testing events for communication-related systems and their integrations with other subsystems, and will be interfacing with various parties: stations M&E, commissioning coordinators, vendors, Systems Install team, who will be witnessing the testing events. You will be reporting to the Commissioning Manager – Communications Systems
- Perform a pre-brief prior to all testing activities to ensure all participants are aware of how the activity will proceed, what the risks are, and what safety requirements are in place
- Led the on-site execution of all Communications T&C activities, both Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) events.
- Escalate any issues to the Commissioning Manager- Communications.
- Perform de-briefs following testing activities to get feedback from the witnesses and to identify and log deficiencies and their category (A, B or C).
- Raise any PICO issues that get flushed out of a SAT/SIT event during a commissioning event.
- Review test procedures as required.
Requirements
- Attained a degree or a certificate in a technology-related field is recommended.
- Prior experience (3-5 years) with SCADA, certain telecoms subsystems (CCTV, IAC, PA, etc.) and/or systems suppliers, preferably on railways projects.
