Job Summary
We are looking for a data analyst this role will support the management of nutrition data for the LCL enterprise. The main responsibility is ensuring we have up to date, accurate nutrition data on products listed in our enterprise. The analyst will work collaboratively with other business units to obtain nutrition data through feeds as well as images and enter this data into our nutrition database.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business analyst lead to obtain and enter control brand data gaps.
• Work with category merchandising for vendors currently not registered with GS1 to have their product pack shots sent for transcription of nutritional/ingredient data.
• Identify gaps in fresh SKU data and liaise with fresh procurement team for available data and in cases where data unavailable manually enter from the Health Canada website.
• Work with Enterprise data team to identify which national brand gaps can be rectified through GS1.
• Retrieve vendor submissions; issue verification numbers for use in product listing and manually enter data obtained into worksheet.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree (in Computer Science, Business or related field of study).
• Detailed oriented with strong data analysis skills.
• Ability to deal professionally with all levels of the company.
• Strong technical skills (Excel).
• Experience in Flow Diagrams (Microsoft Visio).
• Strong, proven experience in a combination of data management and data analysis roles working with large-scale data assets.
• Superior organization and planning skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Motivated, independent, resourceful, team player.
• Knowledge of food, nutrition & drug retail industry an asset.
