Job Description

Live Assets is looking for a Handover Coordinator, for one of its clients to join a complex P3 design and construction project team for a huge construction entity in Toronto with an opportunity for advancement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review project schedules with station teams to determine if additional extensions of temporary easements are required and liaise with HMKE to undertake necessary extensions.
  • Represent the company in coordination efforts with HMKE regarding the handover of documentation and providing input as required to support transfers.
  • Work with site teams to determine work schedules.
  • Attend meetings and working committees, as directed, representing the Project’s handover requirements and obligations.
  • Support and organize the handover of infrastructure works (structures, culverts, utilities, walls).
  • Maintain tracking and status/progress of all assets for handover.

 

Requirements

  • Completion of a post‐secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (e.g. planning, urban studies, engineering, and involving a focus on real estate/property matters), along with extensive related experience in a property acquisition and/or project infrastructure environment; or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the expropriation process, real estate agreements, and property valuation; Ability to read and understand reference plans and engineering drawings; general knowledge of common engineering and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with computerized applications related to the work (Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, and/or Adobe PDF).
  • Sound judgment; well-developed interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; proven organizational and problem-solving skills; highly developed conflict resolution and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that project schedules, milestones, and deadlines are met on a timely basis.
  • This position may require visits to various sites/locations as required.
  • Driver’s license (Class G), preferred
