Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and client-focused professional for the position of Systems Administrator/Helpdesk Support. This role is scheduled predominantly during business hours on Monday through Friday. Based on the business requirements some weekend and after-hours work will be a required. This is a contract role which role reports to the Director- I.T. and is an integral part of the IT Team.

Systems Administrator duties include but are not limited to:
– Managing multiple networks and security infrastructure of the business environment.
– Setup/Management of Active Directory components.
– Email server management.
– Ability to manage a network of mobile devices including Blackberries, Android and IOS.
– Work within a Virtualized Blade/SAN environment.
– Manage security systems.

Helpdesk duties include but are not limited to:
– Troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair of end-user systems.
– Assist in maintaining backups, systems, and upgrading of service packs.
– Maintain office hardware and user support including printers, faxes, copiers, telephone systems, and all peripherals.
– Train new and existing users on company software, applications, and telephone systems.
– Interface between company’s internal teams and the development team.

The Infrastructure environment consists of:
– Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Email Server.
– Nortel (Meridian Mail) Phone system.
– VMware ESX.
– SQL Server.
– Various Security Systems.
– HP switching architecture/Blade and SAN.

Requirements:
The successful candidate must have:
– 3-5 years experience in a Systems Administrator role.
– Good knowledge of Office 365.
– Administration experience with Windows 2003/2008R2 server platforms (Service Packs, Base System Installations, and Troubleshooting).
– Deep knowledge of and experience with Exchange 2007, WSUS and Patch management, Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
– Experience with VM Ware ESX 4 & up.
– Extensive knowledge of Windows 7, 8, Vista, XP and Office 2003/2007.
– Excellent communication skills.
