Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring an IT Business Manager for one of its Clients who will perform technical functions and lead the Division in Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Development (BPD). The IT Business Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall business operations at the management level and providing technical direction for all IT and BPD matters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads and manages all aspects of the IT Department
- Develops IT capital / expense budgets & project resourcing schedules
- Provides technical support for IT in subject areas such as servers, computers, network, wireless devices, printers, or server technologies such as AD, DHCP, DNS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and BSD operating systems
- Provide lead technical support and operational leadership for the Divisional ERP system (Epicor CMS)
- Demonstrates technical expertise to perform business analysis using tools such as MS-Excel, MS-Access, SQL, MiniTab, statistics, business charting and graphics, data extraction & transformation, report creation, pivot tables and filtering; Is an expert in using MS-Excel
- Skilled in general software development practises as well as direct experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting software development.
- Responsible for risk management assessments and creating risk mitigation plans at varying levels including: project, IT department, resources, manpower, security, and disaster recovery
- Responsible for root cause analysis of all service disruptions, implement prevention plans, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Minimum Qualifications
- An accredited university degree or equivalent certification in information technology, systems administration, engineering or business systems
- 10+ years of experience managing IT operations in a 24×7 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Extensive general knowledge of IT environment including end-user devices & applications, infrastructure & Help Desk, telephony, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, networking and core server technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, MQ, NTP)
- 10 or more years of experience supporting and operating Epicor CMS (formerly Solarsoft iVP / CMS) in an IBM i Series / DB2 environment
- Extensive knowledge of data management, business analysis, ERP system setup & configuration, user profiles & group security, master data management, BOM & routing configuration, release accounting, invoicing, shipping & receiving, purchasing, tool crib, and engineering change control
- Working knowledge of financial business systems, audit & compliance requirements
- Able to work in Canada and to travel within USA
