Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Junior IT Help Desk for one of its clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users, assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic software and hardware issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to user queries via phone, email, or in person, and document support requests in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Install, configure, and update software and operating systems.
- Assist with setting up new user accounts and managing user access permissions.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and accessories.
- Assist with moves, adds, and changes in office locations, including workstation relocations and network cabling.
Necessary Skills
- College diploma or University degree in a technical field or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in a helpdesk, technical support, or IT service desk environment.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, cabling, and setting up software/hardware workstations.
- Experience in structured cabling and network setup (Ethernet, patch panels, wall jacks).
- Experience working with MS environment, Office 365, and Windows 10/11.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-user hardware/software, with experience in physical setup and configuration of laptops, monitors, and office IT environments.
- Proficient in handling office equipment setup, including printers, phones, and peripherals.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships.
