Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Research Approval Program Development Lead for a project we are working on for one of our government clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and lead the multiple simultaneous workstreams of this project (research ethics; privacy and information sharing; contract review).
- Implement the approved plan to move toward a sustainable, effective and provincially accountable model for streamlined ethics. This includes stakeholder consultation, model development, implementation planning, implementation, and change management.
- Design and implement a front counter system to enable clear access and navigation for researchers to health authority research approvals. This includes model development, budget development, staffing identification, training, change management.
- Develop detailed business requirements for a provincial health research system to support the work processes of a research approval process.
- Plan and convene a group of experts and administrators from the health authorities and universities to standardize legal templates across the system.
Necessary Skills
- 7 years of recent experience in providing services of similar scope and complexity in the public sector demonstrating knowledge and understanding related to health research, ethics and/or privacy.
- Leading teams in consensus building with members from across public sector organizations such as ministries, agencies, authorities, crown corporations and other public entities. Consensus building will include multiple stakeholders typically involving interactions with a cross discipline team represented by several interested parties.
- Creating, identifying and articulating strategic objectives.
- Translating objectives into business plans.
- Managing and creating working relationships within a complex policy environment (business and social policies).
