Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Linux Engineer for one of its Fintech Clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Full life cycle management of all Linux and Storage systems.
- Improve the processes, technologies and stability of the Linux estate through technical guidance.
- Audit & implement remediation actions to comply with IT Governance policies and procedures.
- Perform routine system maintenance and root cause problem investigations and implement remediation.
- Use Jira & ServiceNow to coordinate department activities and develop dashboards and reports to measure success.
- Create concise and technically re-usable code and understand the philosophy of coding (IaC).
Necessary Skills
- Experience with Linux operating systems, installations, configurations, and troubleshooting; experience of an enterprise Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS or Oracle and containerization tools (OpenShift and Rancher).
- Experience with Linux Kernel, FPGA, RedHat Satellite and managing F5 load balancers.
- Experience of using Jira/ServiceNow tools and with system monitoring tools.
- Good understanding of SAN and NAS centralized storage concepts.
- Familiarity of Networking technologies such as TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, Satellite, DHCP, PXE and Web servers (Apache or NGINX).
- Knowledge of Dell and HPE server Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Perl, Java.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good understanding of security best practices and maintaining system security.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Industry related certifications such as RHCSA or similar enterprise Linux Certifications are A Plus.
