Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Network Security Engineer to join our client’s IT Infrastructure and Operations team. With 10+ years of experience required, contribute to cutting-edge network solutions in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain the company’s network and associated equipment.
- Create documentation for new systems and services for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Review/Discover Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti/UniFi, HP Aruba, Dell, and other vendor switching / routing equipment to meet new business solutions or site requirements.
- Knowledge Base Working with Azure DevOps Task & SharePoint Site Pages.
- Ensure the company’s networks are up and running up to standard during post-support.
- Provide 3rd-line support of networking equipment and networks at our clinic and business locations.
- Ensure network infrastructure best practice is maintained to ensure system security and availability.
- Design & architect proposals for optimizing network infrastructure configurations that best utilize Meraki MX & UniFi switches.
- Collaborate with Server & Cloud engineers to assist with network infrastructure
implementation and documentation of procedures.
Necessary Skills
- 10+ years of experience in network & security engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, MS Office 365, Active Directory, Azure & Intune.
- Knowledge & administration of Microsoft Windows Server platform, VMware, Hyper-V, and Network topologies and protocols.
- Layer-2 and Layer-3 experience for networking technologies (i.e. VLAN, STP, Wi-Fi, 802.1x)
- Experience with Systems Administration, Network Device Controllers, and SDN technologies.
- Design and architectural experience for network security project implementations.
- Understand remote management tools and techniques (SSH, RDP, VNC, RMM, BMC, etc.)
- Proficient in utilizing a variety of tools such as Microsoft Planner, Azure DevOps, Excel RAID Trackers, and ZenDesk ticketing for RFC & Implementations + Support Issues.
- Ability to propose new solutions to integrate into existing workflows.
- CCNP or CCIE is a must.
- Relevant certifications such as Meraki, Microsoft MCSE/MCITP, and Azure is desired.
