Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Project Director for our government client. In this role, you’ll lead key initiatives that drive positive change in public service. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of projects that make a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Work with executive management to develop, execute, and manage an integrated plan to procure and implement technology solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships across all key stakeholder groups.
- Lead project committees and support project governance bodies throughout the projects’ lifecycles.
- Develop a communications and risk management plan for the portfolio of projects and manage IT vendor contracts.
- Identify and manage project variances via the project governance structure.
Necessary Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a role contributing to the development or implementation of provincial Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or province-wide implementations of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- 15+ years of experience in project management and coordination of government and Information Management technology solutions.
- 10+ years of experience working in the health industry and knowledge of business practices, information, data, and technology requirements.
- Minimum of 5 contracts demonstrating experience in negotiating or monitoring contractual arrangements with IMT.
- Degree or diploma in business, healthcare, or information technology.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience in a role developing and managing IT contracts.
- 5+ years of experience developing integrated plans, portfolios, project reporting, and communicating progress to senior executives.
- 5+ years of experience in oversight of portfolio governance and development of portfolio processes.
- 5+ years of experience leading healthcare portfolios or initiatives of similar size and complexity.
- 5+ years of experience with the contents and application of the Alberta Health Information Act.
