This role involves managing a dynamic cross-functional team and implementing crucial downtime processes for large-scale EHR projects with CPOE in acute and ambulatory settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing Downtime Processes: Utilize your expertise to implement downtime processes and tools for significant EHR projects, ensuring seamless clinical workflows during system unavailability.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and productivity.
- Project Planning: Maintain detailed work plans, project schedules, and ensure resource leveling using tools such as MS Project.
- Issue and Risk Management: Effectively handle project-level issues and risks to ensure smooth operations.
Necessary Skills
- Healthcare IT Expertise: Extensive experience in implementing healthcare clinical upgrades, EHRs, and CPOE rollout in large and fast-paced environments.
- MS Project Proficiency: Skill in project schedule modeling using MS Project, including resource leveling and forecast scheduling.
- Clinical Workflow Knowledge: Expertise in implementing downtime EHR processes in ambulatory and acute care settings, focusing on ensuring uninterrupted clinical workflows during system downtime.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven ability to drive transformative changes in healthcare environments, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, clerks, and other key partners.
- System Familiarity: Experience with Oracle Cerner applications, including 724 Downtime client, PowerChart, PMOffice, and Scheduling is highly desirable.
- Change Management: Familiarity with change management and incident management processes, ensuring a smooth transition during system changes.
