Job Description

Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is looking for a Technical Coordinator for one of our clients who is a Construction and Infrastructure leader in Canada, to support a dynamic, transit project in the Greater Toronto Area.


Responsibilities

 

The ‘Third Party – Technical Coordinator’ will work alongside the third party and technical teams, ensuring that third party works are completed and permits/ approvals obtained to meet construction completion schedules while complying with regulatory agency engineering standards, codes, specifications, regulations, and design instruction. The successful candidate will coordinate tracking of Third Party works and schedules, performance reporting, and will coordinate on the compilation of required documentation to facilitate key project permitting processes as required.  This position will offer exposure working on Asset Handover Coordination, Occupancy, Closeout and on the various Permits/ Approvals required by the external agencies and stakeholders involved in the Project.

  • Compiles technical engineering information and plans, detail sheets, specifications and construction documentation to meet all project permitting and approval requirements.
  • Co-ordinates reporting on third party work performance, permits, approvals, asset handover progress with site teams and supports Vice President and/or Third-Party Director in reporting to senior management and construction management teams.
  • Organizes and maintains project files, records, systems, and procedures.
  • Maintains progress dashboards and databased of technical reviews for adjacent Development proposals.
  • Provides technical assistance to Third Party management.
  • Participates in technical meetings with approval authorities and records actions required and decisions.

 

Qualifications 

  • Graduate from a recognised Urban planning or Civil Engineering program.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and writing skills)
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Being open to learning and understanding technical services and methods, as well as developing construction management skills.
  • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.
