The desired candidate will have demonstrated scrum master skills and experience managing projects of varying sizes. This role is accountable for the overall execution of project processes and deliverables including driving product backlog refinement, release/spring planning, cost planning and financial forecasts, effective stakeholder engagement and communication, and risk management. They will leverage resources from a myriad of departments, both in IT and the Business, with project profiles including infrastructure, application, transformational, organizational change management and foundational components.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in the IT project delivery function; proven success developing and implementing solutions within a complex multi-stakeholder organization.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in project management best practices.
- Proven experience and capability to contribute to the decision-making needed to introduce substantial technology and process change/transformation into an IT organization and the associated business community.
- Proven ability to partner with senior Management, understanding the strategic importance of an initiative and asserting positions and ideas to ensure successful delivery.
- Clearly demonstrated sense of ownership and commitment and the capability to drive issues to closure.
- Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs.
- Ability to recognize symptoms that indicate problems and manage client’s perceived view/assessment of business risks appropriately.
- Demonstrated acceptance of responsibility for individual and team performance.
- Proficiency in the use of Agile Collaboration tools, specifically Agile Central / Rally and Jira.
- Relationship Alliance Building – A track record of building strong relationships with internal clients and external business partners.
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Facilitator role for at least five years within a software development team that was diligently applying Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- A solid understanding of the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
- Evidenced skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, XP, Kanban, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
- Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and user stories etc.
