Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a passionate Senior BI Developer with expertise in MicroStrategy for our esteemed healthcare client. As a Senior BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and deploying MicroStrategy-based visualizations, documents, dossiers, and reports. This position demands a deep understanding of MicroStrategy tools, integration capabilities, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Architect MicroStrategy Solutions: Design, develop, and implement MicroStrategy visualizations, documents, and reports adhering to approved architecture design.
- Integrate Backend Systems: Integrate MicroStrategy with various connections such as Oracle DB, MS Excel, and more, ensuring seamless backend operations.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliance and bilingual (Eng/FR) requirements in all aspects of development.
- Collaborate Efficiently: Work closely with stakeholders, following wireframes and Information Architecture directives, to craft impactful and intuitive user experiences.
Necessary Skills
We are seeking candidates with:
- MicroStrategy Proficiency: Extensive experience in MicroStrategy Developer, including reports, dossiers, intelligent cubes, filters, prompts, and custom groups to solve intricate business problems.
- Tool Mastery: Familiarity with Command Manager, System Manager, and Object and Integrity Manager to streamline development processes.
- Schema Expertise: In-depth knowledge of MSTR Schema objects like Tables, Hierarchies, Facts/Metrics, and Simple/Compound Attributes.
- Cubes Optimization: Proven experience in developing and fine-tuning Intelligent Cubes for efficient data ingestion in reports and dossiers.
- Web Integration: Expertise in creating integrated MSTR Web applications with embedded BI dashboards (using Drupal, HTML) and ASP technology.
- Multilingual Development: Proficiency in implementing multilingual reports and documents to enable seamless translation between English and French.
- Accessibility Focus: Experience in developing MSTR applications adhering to Accessibility compliance rules (AODA WCAG 2.0) for an inclusive user experience.
- Data Integration Skills: Strong background in data integration using various sources like CSV files, Oracle, etc., ensuring robust data connectivity.
- SQL Expertise: Excellent knowledge of SQL, including performance tuning of queries through thoughtful report design.
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with ASP, HTML, and CSS for seamless integration with web pages.
- Bonus Skills: Knowledge or experience in Qlik Sense will be a significant advantage.
