Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our client’s infrastructure team.
The primary role would be to administer the company’s network and maintaining, optimizing and monitoring Linux systems. Other responsibilities would include, improving processes, writing\updating documentation, and providing 3rd level IT support for colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and maintain LAN and WAN networks
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot/problem solve network and server systems
- Deploy and maintain new server systems
- Ensure regular security patching of systems
- Deploy, install and support IT equipment
- Participate in architectural and configuration discussions
- Monitor, document and report on system utilization and capacity
- Diagnose and provide solutions to recurring issues
- Implement changes that will optimize existing hardware and network resources
- Provide escalation support for IT Helpdesk
- Co-ordinate with equipment and software vendors
- Create and maintain documentation
- Train support staff on new technologies
- Take part in on-call support rotation
Necessary Skills
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure
- Profound expertise in networking principles and Linux/Unix platforms
- Strong technical knowledge of networking in cloud services platforms (Azure)
- Proficient in bash scripting
- Experience in system backups, including SQL, Windows/Linux on prem, and in the cloud
- Experience in disaster recovery
- Experience with Active directory administration on prem and in the cloud (Azure), Office 365 tenant administration.
- Proven track record in delivering IT development projects, system implementation, and providing business support
- Experience in system inventory management, monitoring, and patching
- Familiarity with helpdesk support tools
- Understanding of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Databases, would be an advantage
