Job Description
Live Assets is looking for a Senior Manager, Construction Management to join one of our client, a leader in the transit infrastructure. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire construction lifecycle of vital infrastructure projects within a large-scale transit network. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the construction phase of complex projects, working closely with project teams.
- Contribute to the pre-construction process by reviewing plans, schedules, and ensuring optimal project coordination.
- Resolve conflicts effectively and address challenges that could impact project quality or timeline.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project progression and successful implementation.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project activities.
- Provide strategic leadership and manage a team of construction professionals.
- Mentor, coach, and guide team members to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in engineering and project management for large-scale construction projects.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Applied Science or Engineering.
- Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Experience with vendor management and contract evaluation.
- In-depth knowledge of civil and architectural design and construction principles.
- A valid professional engineering license (an asset).
