Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Senior Network and Security Analyst to join our client’s infrastructure team. The primary responsibilities would be administering the company’s network and maintaining, optimizing, and monitoring security on networks, Windows, and Linux systems. This role requires up to 25% travel within the GTA to support the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks.
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot/problem-solve network and server systems.
- Deploy and maintain security best practices across the Infrastructure and Applications.
- Ensure regular security patching of systems and deploy, install, and support IT equipment.
- Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity.
- Diagnose and provide solutions to recurring issues and implement changes that will optimize existing hardware and network resources.
- Provide escalation support for IT Helpdesk and coordinate with equipment and software vendors.
- Create and maintain documentation.
- Take part in on-call support rotation.
Necessary Skills
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure and information security.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking principles, networking in cloud services platforms (Azure), and security best practices.
- Experience in Windows/Linux servers on-prem and the cloud, system inventory, disaster recovery, monitoring, and patching.
- Strong working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with a helpdesk support tool.
- Experience with Active directory administration on-prem and in the cloud (Azure).
- Experience with Office 365 tenant administration.
- Experience in delivering IT Development projects, system implementation, and business support.
- Experience in multiple implementation phases; system selection, design, development, testing, and support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Technologies including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Databases would be an asset.
- Technical knowledge of HP servers, SANs would be an asset.
- Degree in a related discipline would be an asset (e.g., B.Eng. B.Sc., etc.).
