Job Description
Live Assets is looking for a Site Supervisor for one of our clients, a Transit Infrastructure leader in Canada, to support a dynamic team in this complex P3 design and construction transit project in the Greater Toronto Area. This role will be within the Interim Maintenance team and is responsible for supervising subcontractors in the execution of transit construction and supporting site activities carried out by the transit construction and commissioning teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and control access for Stations to support visits & works to be performed by project-wide teams (Construction, Systems, Testing and Commissioning, etc.) and other project stakeholders (Client, Maintainer, Emergency Services, etc.)
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the site and stations, while collaborating with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with the HSE process.
  • Observe site responsibilities during emergency events (unauthorized access, Fire Alarm activation, etc.)
  • Support the project management team in planning and managing workloads
  • Conduct site inspections, identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards.
  • Handle onsite incidents in accordance with incident response protocols
  • Oversee the behavior of the construction team and contractors to ensure proper conduct and efficiency.

 

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety practices
  • Possess a strong understanding of modern construction practices.
  • Ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various project stakeholders
  • Capable of identifying constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Supervising and managing all on-site staff and managing subcontractors.
