Job Summary
As a Test Engineer you will participate in the testing of our SAAS platform. They will be part of creating a testing strategy and execute on it to ensure that the software product meets user requirements and work closely the Development Team to understand requirements, estimate testing efforts and deliver an industry changing technology to our clients.
Responsibilities
• Lead software testing efforts for new modules and enhancements to industry leading SaaS-based incentive management platform
• Create high-level testing strategy and detailed test plans in order to ensure that the product meets user requirements and is free of defects
• Develop and execute functional and regression tests as part of agile release cycle
• Actively participate in building a high-performing development team, including building test automation, documentation, and identifying opportunities for continuous development process improvement
• Work with product management and development teams to understand requirements, estimate testing efforts and deliver on product road map
• Contribute to product documentation, including test plans, training and support material Skills and
Experience
• 3-5 years’ exploratory software testing experience
• 3-5 years’ experience delivering consumer facing enterprise SaaS applications
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong desire to “break software”
• Aptitude for learning, professional development and enjoys being playing on a team
• Software development background an asset
• Experience in a fast-moving, startup environment is an asset
• Relational database and SQL query development and testing experience
• Ewok wrestling or Unicorn Wrangling considered a very desirable asset for this role
