Job Description

  • Lead system implementation, design, and architecture for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and other key cloud services (ServiceNow, Open Government Portal, Cloudera, etc.), ensuring system design aligns with business requirements.
  • Design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and workflows to support business needs, including custom modules, portals, forms, and automated processes.
  • Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using APIs (REST/SOAP), scripting, connectors, or the Integration Hub.
  • Support the design and development of scalable, reliable, and automatable data infrastructure, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance data product delivery, analytics, and data science using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) and big data technologies.
  • Manage and administer data platforms, including monitoring system performance, scheduled jobs, upgrades, user access, and license management.
  • Configure and optimize cloud-based tools to manage cost, security, and compliance across various technology stacks (Azure, Cloudera, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Provide services that support data privacy and security in accordance with enterprise policies (e.g., access controls, cross-platform security policies).
  • Collaborate with team members to improve and optimize cloud and on-premise infrastructure systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, capacity, availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Contribute to defining and establishing an enterprise data strategy and be actively involved in designing modern data platform features and functionalities.
  • Participate in sprint planning, version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipeline development, and automated testing to ensure continuous improvement and platform stability.
  • Document configurations, processes, known issues, and solutions to support knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and team onboarding.
  • Support projects that implement data product delivery components aligned with the enterprise data strategy.

Necessary Skills

  • 4+ years of experience automating routine tasks using Azure Automation, Terraform, PowerShell, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and other scripting tools, deployment pipelines, and version control systems.
  • 4+ years of experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and data services (ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure ML, etc.).
  • Experience monitoring Azure infrastructure performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resource usage.
  • Experience maintaining and managing Azure Cost Management and budgeting.
  • Experience with Azure DevSecOps, including implementing and managing Azure security controls such as network security groups, Azure Active Directory, and identity and access management.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, or during change windows outside of normal business hours.
