Job Description

Live Assets, a leading Transit Staffing Solutions provider, is hiring a full-time Systems Engineering Coordinator to support a rapid transit system project.


Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for supporting systems in design, pre-installation, and construction activities for electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications projects. This function will include support to coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors in the design and construction processes, deliverables, products, and materials that comply with the project. You will work with suppliers, subcontractors, and the Engineer of Record to expedite reviews, facilitate conflicts, and issue resolutions, and will be responsible for recording and tracking these activities. You will also be collaborating in resolving conflicts with other construction departments related to electromechanical and systems projects. This position reports to the Systems Construction Support Manager and the Systems Design Manager.

  • Support the Systems Integration and Interface Manager in interacting with System and Non-System Designers to accelerate reviews, modifications, and approvals in the resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor and track the progress of Systems and Non-Systems requests for information (RFI), field change request (FCR), design change notification (DCN), systems change request (SCR), and the implementation of field modification instructions (FMI) and their registration in Procore (Electronic Document Management Systems Project).
  • Make records and follow up on shipments and receipts of documents related to electromechanical projects and systems from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors that include design packages, pre-installation, and workshop drawings, sending verification and validation records (PICO, test procedures, test reports) for internal, EOR and customer review and feedback.
  • Follow up on documentation design approvals to avoid impacts on the construction activity schedule.
  • Keep Procore systems updated for Systems registration documents.
  • Provide support to users in accessing electronic information on electromechanical and systems projects.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results within the agreed budget and schedule.

 

Requirements:

  • Engineering or related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience in electrical/electronic/mechanical areas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, Procore, Aconex, and ClearQuest will be considered an asset.
  • Able to manage priorities to ensure operation deliverables are accurate, consistent, current, and timely. Multi-tasking ability is expected.
  • Transportation Systems experience is an asset.
