We are currently looking for a Technical Writer to join one of our client, one of Canada’s largest nonprofit organizations. The Technical Writer will assist with the preparation of documentation
Responsibilities:
- Identify the scope of technical writing within projects and manage independent work planning and execution to meet project deadlines.
- Work cross-departmentally to identify gaps in documentation and collect relevant information from SMEs.
- Work on continuous improvement to existing documentation in terms of structure and content.
- Update technical documents on existing ERP, CRM systems.
What you bring to the team:
- Technical Writer Certificate with 5-7 years’ of relevant experience.
- Candidates should be self-starters, have a hands-on approach and capability to work independently and with a diverse group of operators and engineers.
- Candidates must possess superior communication skills (verbal/written) and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Candidates must demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with digital documentation and/or technical writing authoring tools is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Visio.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of professionals at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint or a similar document management system an asset.
