General Role & Responsibilities 

Technical Writing 

  • Present technical information in a clear, concise manner based on audience
  • Write from a user’s perspective in a topic-based structure
  • Conduct in-person interviews with technical experts, update documentation, and coordinate content reviews.
  • Write, format, copy edit, and proofread documents while adhering to corporate standards and ensuring client confidentiality is maintained.
  • Closely track document changes and regularly communicate status to the team
  • Test procedures against the software to ensure accurate content
  • Ensure the maintenance and development of internal processes and procedures documentation

Critical Requirements 

  • Technical communications certificate or related work experience in software development or information technology
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Highly committed to information accuracy, precision, and attention to detail
  • Strong oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent investigative and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team

Technical Training

  • Promote and conduct technical training on in-house applications, and tools to our internal staff
  • Develop and revise existing training and instructional documentation
  • Champion our in-house programs and their functionality and be advocate for employees usage
  • Work with internal teams to plan and execute the roll out of new products and features
  • Designs and writes instructor led classroom and live virtual training programs using adult learning and performance improvement methodology
  • Prepares presentations and deliver technical training courses to employees
  • Creates learning materials including facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, job aids, etc.
  • Collaborates with Information Technology to develop interactive multimedia content
  • Conduct needs analysis, identify learner performance gaps, make recommendations for improving/revising existing training classes and programs
  • Pilot and evaluate instructional materials and processes to assess their effectiveness and contribute to the revision process
  • Facilitate formal & informal training sessions and learning experiences for various groups
  • Measure learning program effectiveness           through level 1-4 evaluations
  • Research and implement technology solutions for use in learning programs
  • Seeks to continuously drive improvement to the learning experience
  • Develops training knowledge and skills in colleagues
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
