Job Description:
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Manager, Testing and Commissioning for a full-time role in Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a compliant and effective testing and commissioning plan for a variety of projects. You will also be responsible for leading a team of professionals, reviewing and confirming the testing and commissioning schedule, integrating the commissioning plan with plans of other suppliers, reviewing test forms, witnessing tests, reviewing the training agenda and scheduling, reviewing the operations and maintenance manuals, witnessing seasonal performance testing, reviewing the commissioning reports and attending commissioning meetings. Someone who has at least 15 years of experience in leading a commissioning team and has a Licensed or authorized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute comprehensive Testing and Commissioning programs.
- Coordinate and produce Testing and Commissioning plans and procedures.
- Liaise between stakeholders, including Metrolinx and Toronto Transit Commission.
- Support team-building initiatives within Testing and Commissioning.
- Develop technical performance markers for Continuous Improvement.
- Oversee inspection and testing of facilities, automation control equipment, and interfaces.
- Support safety incorporation within all Testing and Commissioning activities.
- Assist in scheduling and planning the handover of assets from construction to Testing and Commissioning.
- Drive an inclusive culture promoting equity and career progression.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in design, construction, testing, and commissioning of similar scope and complexity.
- Experience with large, complex projects and Joint Ventures.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and CENELEC 50126 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and requirements management tools (DOORS).
- Proven experience in leading testing and commissioning teams.
- Familiarity with safety-related application conditions (SRACs, ref. CENELEC 50126).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
