Candidates preparation is part of our interview process here at Live Assets. By that, we are making sure to give our people the right guidance on how they should answer specific questions.
Most of the candidates we are working on a daily basis have a very strong technical background. The main focus of our preparation is on behavioral questions and how they should approach them.
This guide is separated into three different categories:
1) In the first part we are going to discuss tips for before the interview, what you should be aware of before you have an in-person or a phone interview.
2) In the second part, we are giving tips while you are doing the interview, small details matter. Be prepared, arrive early and be confident.
In our final part of our blog series, we will share some tips for after the interview. What do you do when the interview is done?
Give yourself the best chances of moving forward by doing the following:
1. Ask about the next steps. After your interview, it is appropriate to ask either your interviewer, hiring manager or recruiter about what you should expect next. This will likely be a follow-up email with results from your interview, additional requirements like an assignment or reference list or another interview.
2. Send a personalized thank you letter after the interview. Ask for the business card of each person you speak with during the interview process so that you can follow up individually with a separate thank you email. If you interviewed in the morning, send your follow-up emails the same day. If you interviewed in the afternoon, the next morning is fine. Make certain that each email is distinct from the others, using the notes you took during the conversations.
We’re always happy to talk about how to make better long-term hiring decisions by assessing the person behind the resume. If you’re open to having the conversation, click here and let us know.
