Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is looking for a BI Developer, for one of its client to join a team of complex P3 design and construction project for a huge construction entity in Toronto with opportunity for advancement.
The BI Developer will be within the Operational Technology & Systems Integration Team and will report to the QFM Software Implementation Project Manager. Your primary focus will be developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The data source will be QFM, which is our CMMS, asset management, and Performance Reporting System (PRS) software.
Responsibilities:
The person in this role will perform tasks such as:
- Design, develop, and test Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards for the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) team, Operations team (including interim maintenance), Close-out team, and the PRS for the Maintenance and Rehabilitation division.
- Report layout and requirements documentation for QFM reports to be developed by the QFM software vendor SWG (who will use Crystal Reports or Power BI).
- Potential tasks may include generating reports and dashboards within Smartsheet software for the Systems team.
- Engage with the following stakeholders as required: Expediting, V&V, Systems Assurance (RAM & Safety), Close-out team, T&C, Maintainer (CTSM).
- Perform other tasks as requested for the Systems Integration Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma related to engineering, technology, computer science, data science, or sufficient work experience in a related field.
- 5+ years work exposure in a similar technical role
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- SQL experience
- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Note that Excel skills must be at an advanced level, including VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP.
