Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is looking for a Logistic Tech Coordinator, to join a major construction company in Toronto. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all 50,000+ major assets within the company’s project have the correct identifying markers including QR code labels, and Lamacoids in the case of Mechanical and Electrical assets.
You will help ensure all assets are physically and electronically tagged, identifiable, and accounted for. You will also assist with tracking Signage including: Operational, Facilities, and Occupational Health & Safety.
Responsibilities:
The person in this role will perform tasks such as:
- Work with the label printing vendor(s) to ensure the correct label and/or lamacoids are ordered, including size, shape, material, and robustness.
- Support the following teams and areas ensure all assets are labelled: Testing and Commissioning, Facilities, Operations, Alignment (Stations and Stops), Systems, Communications, Expediting, Safety, Close-out, Signage, and the Maintenance and Rehabilitation division (CTSM).
- Help the QFM Software Implementation Team with all elements of asset tracking
- Perform other tasks as requested for the Systems Integration Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma related to engineering, technology, or computer science, or sufficient work experience in a related field.
- 3+ years work exposure in a similar logistics or technical role
- Barcoding and QR code knowledge
- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Note that Excel skills must be at an advanced level.
- Problem solving, gap analysis and recognition
- Technically knowledgeable, exemplar communication skills, keen attention to detail, organized, motivated self-starter, team player.
