Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions seeking a Security Analyst – Level II holds many responsibilities. The position’s primary responsibilities are analyzing, administering and supporting the company’s security solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, the security of communications to all networks, appliances, computers, and internal and external facing systems. The position’s intent is to secure the company information systems by introducing or supporting mechanisms of detection and/or prevention, in order to mitigate security vulnerabilities and cyber security threats. They are the primary point person for upholding all security systems, and will work to achieve Subject Matter Expert status in the related areas.

Overview:
The Security Analyst II is expected to analyze, evaluate, develop, and make recommendations while implementing solutions/changes in order to meet company’s corporate IT Infrastructure strategies, security policies, as well as work together with or independently of the IT team, in order to mitigate cyber security threats and vulnerabilities. The position is responsible for supporting a secure, efficient and reliable Infrastructure with strong redundancies, utilizing best practices, to enable and support the business in delivering secured quality products and services to their members, ultimately leading to customer satisfaction and business growth. The Security Analyst II also makes recommendations on how IT can deliver solutions more effectively, in order to improve/develop the company’s security systems and policies.

Responsibilities:
Design & Development
– Contributes to the ongoing development, documentation and maintenance of all systems.
– Designs, implements, and maintains the components required to uphold the company security systems and policies, in order to protect information systems and their data from security threats and vulnerabilities.
– Engages external parties as needed in order gain knowledge and/or expertise on specific areas related to security. Identify and assess potential or existing risk. Investigate and make recommendations in order to reduce/mitigate security risks.
– Actively participates and consults with other team members in a technical capacity on projects and initiatives, to ensure the appropriate security is addressing the company information systems needs and adheres to all regulatory and audit requirements.
– Provides input on project deliverables, including time and cost estimates.
Communication & Planning
– Must have great customer service and excellent written and oral communication skills
– Develops plans and budgets in light of internal work needs and operating units’ approved projects.
– Collaborates with multiple groups to develop and improve the business solutions.
– Articulates complex solutions to a variety of audiences.
– Maintains a solid understanding of financial tools and the banking sector is a definite asset.
– Schedules deployments, upgrades, reconfigurations and fixes during optimal times; ensuring key business strategies and processes are supported by systems that enable growth and flexibility.
– Works on planned projects in order to deliver business goals based on priority.

Requirements:
– Minimum 7-10 years installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading computer systems and peripherals for a small-medium size company.
– Degree or diploma in computer science or related field with emphasis on Network Security technologies. Security+, CEH, CCNA, CISSP certificate a definite asset.
– Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 2008, 2012 operating systems including domain administration, GPOs, OUs, security required.
– Strong Knowledge of network infrastructure and design including routing, switching, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, web and mail gateways, DNS, WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SMTP, VPN, IPSec, SSL, various encryption methods including 2-factor authentication, BitLocker, etc.
– Strong knowledge of common L4-L7 protocols.
– Experience documenting, as well as training, company security policies and procedures.
