Job Description
Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is looking for a Software Test Developer, to join a well-established non-profit health organization based in Toronto and Ottawa. The Software Test Developer will be a resource to help in designing, building and implementing a Testing Program, influenced by DataOps principles that will orchestrate automated validations data pipelines as well as report results.
Key Deliverables
- Design a test framework for data pipelines
- Draft a roadmap for all the activities related to the framework
- Advise on tool or technology gaps or recommendations and support their implementation if needed
- Present framework, roadmap and tool/technology recommendations to stakeholders for review.
- Work with company’s resources to build this test framework including documentation for its maintenance and use.
- Identify a list of possible validations that could be implemented in the framework
- Write guidelines for selecting the appropriate validations for a given step in the pipeline
- Train staff (developers, testers and business area representatives) to create data validations and implement them in the testing framework
- Design, build and implement an automated reporting solution for the data validations that are implemented including documentation for its maintenance and use.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent and extensive related DataOps experience.
- Must have Experience with Test automation tools
- Minimum 4 years experience in Informatica Tools and Technology
- Minimum 5 years experience in automating testing big data pipelines that include statistical model / methodologies
- Minimum 3 years experience with AWS data lake technologies (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue Catalog)
- Experience with testing Qlik dashboards, mashups a plus
