Live Assets I.T. Staffing Solutions looking for a Solutions Architect with a focus on the integration of Oracle Financials cloud solutions. This position will be located in Toronto.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the team’s Lead Architect and the Department Enterprise Architecture to ensure proper usage of state of the art technologies in our projects in line with internal architectural guidelines.
- Own the responsibility for efficient, consistent, stable and maintainable architectures and code in your area of responsibility. To this end, you guide a team of externals and ensure that project release implementation is done in high quality according to the principles mentioned above.
- Work with the rest of the team to find innovative technical solutions for our business challenges and drive digitization of our finance systems and processes.
- Own the technical roadmap for your products.
- Connect yourself with our community of architects and keep yourself updated about internal and external technology developments and trends.
- As part of our DevOps model (you build it, you own it, you run it), you ensure stable and smooth maintenance of the products within your responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or similar training or experience
- Several years of experience in software development as a developer and architect, in particular strong knowledge about clean coding, object-oriented development principles, patterns, UML and agile development practices
- Participating in the improvement of business processes, including but not limited to, the following Oracle application-packaged modules Fusion, EBS, PeopleSoft, Hyperion
- Strong background in integration of Cloud Services like Azure or AWS
- Clear understanding of DevOps principles and strong background in ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
- Track record of successful implementations that delivered value to the business, resulting in measurable business outcomes
- Strong infrastructure background: certificates, load balancer, environment strategies, staging, …
- Know-how about TDD (test driven design), unit testing and automated testing (frameworks)
- Basic database skills (relational modelling, SQL, Oracle or SQL Server)
- Very strong analytical and communication skills, excellent team player
- Strong commitment, desire to drive teams and topics
- Creativity, desire for life-long learning, cost consciousness
- Fluent spoken and written English as well as willingness to travel internationally
