Live Assets | I.T. Staffing Solutions seeking a BI Developer.
The Developer, Business Intelligence (BI) will be responsible for proactively developing reporting structures, and compiling reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to – or new requirements for – business processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures. The Developer, BI is also responsible for supporting the development of data warehousing and BI applications on the Microsoft SQL Server platform and will provide technical advice to our client.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an understanding of data sources needed for the day to day operations
- Serve as an internal consultant to departmental teams regarding complex analytics projects as needed; considered a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence technologies.
- Deliver and maintain best practices in data acquisition, data integration, data visualization, optimization, and implementation of solutions.
- Review and utilize best practice standards for design and development of analytical solutions and data visualizations.
- Use data visualization tools to communicate actionable insights across multiple data sources.
- Responsible for data mapping, including facilitating business decisions that may be required to map data
- Support the design and development of integration projects required to incorporate new data sources into the data warehouse while providing data stewardship and ensuring the integrity of the data model is maintained
- Diligently make changes to the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) programs as well as maintain the dimensional data models in the enterprise data warehouse system
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Business Applications, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics and Science.
- Expertise with SQL, SAS, Python or R would be required.
- Must have prior experience developing business intelligence solutions in large or midsize companies
- Must have experience in reporting and business intelligence solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Must have deep experience in application systems design, testing and implementation.
